The Technical Center of Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd, which is certified by Shanghai Municipal Economy Committee as Municipal Grade Enterprise Technical Center, is in charge of R&D for larger engineering projects and better techniques. With the mid-long term development as its principle, Technical Center has been always stick on developing new vessel with high techniques and more market oriented. With the endeavors from the whole company, new technologies and new techniques are continuously adopted in the production and design. The erection period has been continuously shortened. A great leap in the shipbuilding is acquired since the completion of the infrastructure construction after moving to Chongming Island.
The Technical Center (TC) is composed by the Research & Development Institute, Design Department, Technical Department and IT Department. Following company¡¯s long term development strategy, the TC develops new shipbuilding techniques and high value added vessels.
Strong Technical force, internationally advanced shipbuilding software TRIBON is implemented in the vessel design. After years of data collection, Shipyard Co., Ltd widely employs information in Vessel Design, Production, Production Schedule Management, Facilities Management and Material Management.
Ship Building 3D System (SB3DS) is developed by Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd and No. 611 Institute. The system is based on AntoCAD with 3D modeling core technology and focuses on shipbuilding design and construction integrated system. Good interface, easy operation, flexible and easily modification and strong practicality, SB3DS plays an important role in the shipbuilding.
